Yoga nidra is literally ‘yogic sleep’, sleep with full awareness. This ancient yogic sleep technique is a state of consciousness that has the power to take you to the innermost, deepest levels of relaxation where your entire body and being is permeated by peace and profound stillness. It is said by yogis that 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra is as restorative as 3 hours of sleep. This practice will take you into deep sleep brain waves, restoring your whole body and rebooting your system for optimum health. With Yoga Nidra now being used to help people recover from or manage a wide range of conditions, including insomnia, anxiety, PTSD, and chronic fatigue, it’s no wonder it’s starting to receive serious scientific attention!

Experience the effortless healing and transformation of consciousness in this special 2-hour workshop that is suitable for all levels of fitness and meditation experience.

You will first receive a comprehensive introduction to the philosophical and biological foundation of Yoga Nidra. Then, we will prepare the body with a short pranayama (breathwork) and gentle yoga practice, and move into a deeply rejuvenating 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra.

Please bring comfortable clothes, eye pillows, or anything else that helps get cozy.

We are happy to host Stick Yoga classes with Dr. Alison Deliman! Stick Yoga offers a multitude of movements and stretching possibilities. Incorporating the use of 4’, 5’, 6’ and 7’ rattan sticks, you blend your body positions with a staff which creates additional support, balance and leverage. It is adding this additional tool or prop, which is used like a third leg that can enhance greater ease of stretching in gravity.
