Even as a beginner, you are welcome to try any class on the schedule!
Let the instructor know you are new, and they can provide additional guidance as needed.
Set up your mat in the middle or back of the room, so you can watch others to follow along.
Listen carefully. The instructor will expertly talk through poses but may not demonstrate all of them in class.
Breathe, relax, and have fun!
You can take as many breaks as you need, and rest in child’s pose at any time. It's important to recognize when your body needs needs a break without feeling the need to "keep up" with what others are doing.

Yes, you can rent a yoga mat for $1.

There is FREE street parking in front of the studio on Manchester Avenue (one hour limit, until 6:00pm).
There is a huge FREE parking in the lot behind the building.

Bring a yoga mat.
You can rent a mat for $1 if needed.Bring water if you get thirsty.
There is a water dispenser to refill your bottle and cups to use if needed.Bring a towel if you sweat a lot.
You can rent a towel for $2.

Wear comfortable, lightweight clothing that allows you to move freely.
Practicing barefoot provides the best traction and balance on your mat.

Arrive 5 to 10 minutes before class start time, so you can settle in with ease.
Only leave class early if you must. It's polite to let the teacher know beforehand if you need to leave early.
Please leave shoes at the shoe racks near the entrance.
Silence your phone and place your belongings in the cubbies at the back of the studio.
Refrain from wearing perfume or strong fragrance.

Get clearance from your doctor before practicing yoga with an injury.
If you choose to practice with an injury, focus on practicing within the limits of your injury. Modify or take breaks if you experience pain.
Always let the instructor know if you have any injuries or conditions to be aware of.

Absolutely! Yoga is a great way to increase flexibility. You only have to stretch your body to the level that challenges it. With patience and practice, your flexibility will increase.
