“Keep taking time for yourself until you are you again.”
~ Lalah Delia

Happy May! Hope you are doing well :)

It’s been about 7 months since I got my puppy Jackson, and I’ve seen him grow and change so much. In the past couple of weeks, I feel like I finally have time to myself in the mornings again. I used to have quiet and meditative mornings. After getting Jackson, morning time became all about him— he would be full of energy once he heard me getting up. We would have to go for a walk, I’d have to prepare his food, and play with him before leaving the house.

Now, Jackson sleeps in a bit more and doesn’t urgently need as much of my attention in the mornings. I still have to take care of him, but even 10-15 minutes of quiet time to myself feels so luxurious. It’s such a treat to make a mug of tea and sit at my little altar to meditate and reflect before the day starts.

We all know what it feels like to have our time and energy expended with responsibilities to work, family, and things we care about. When you commit to something, you give up a little bit of yourself, at least for a period of time. It’s usually worth it. And when you get to experience some precious moments to yourself again, it can remind you how important it is to carve out time for yourself, to create boundaries to protect your own peace and energy.

I know that many people come to yoga and meditation exactly for that experience— quiet and mindful time for the self. We are beyond happy to provide that space for you at Yoga Bliss, as we know how important it is in this busy world.

We have wonderful classes and events coming up for you this month, space to connect in community, and make time just for you. I’m also excited to announce we will be hosting a 200-Hour Teacher Training later this year - see details below :)

Take care and stay healthy!

With Love + Gratitude,

<3 Lara
