What is Reiki?
💗 Reiki can be thought of as the universal healing energy that we all possess. Healing is a natural process. If you get a cut or a bruise, your body knows how to heal itself. However, during times of stress or grief, we sometimes need extra support in healing. When someone is attuned to Reiki, they become a more open channel to share this universal healing energy with others.
How is Reiki shared?
🙌🏽 Reiki energy is transmitted through the hands. During a session, the hands are placed lightly on the body, or hovered just above the body, directing healing energy to the person receiving the treatment.
How does it feel?
⚡️ People experience receiving Reiki in many different ways. It may feel like sensations of warmth and heat. Some experience waves or pulses of energy traveling through the body. Some get very relaxed and fall asleep. Some see visions and colors, or hear messages. Some may feel nothing at all. Allow yourself to be open to the experience.

We’ll start with a brief chat to talk about what you want to work on during our time together. I’ll give you a chakra energy reading and we’ll discuss any imbalances.
During the Reiki session, you’ll lay down on a massage table, supported by props for comfort and relaxation. Reiki is shared through lightly placing hands on the body or hovering them above the body.
We’ll debrief after the session to review your personal experience, and I will share anything that came up for me. I’ll suggest practices and things to do to help move forward while maintaining balance and peace.

A Reiki session is a great way to bring balance or clarity during times of stress or grief, or at any time that you need some clarity and self-care.
My goal is for you to leave our sessions with plans for maintaining balance independently. You shouldn’t feel dependent on receiving Reiki to deal with life.
You can come back for Reiki any time you feel like you need a reset or some deep rest.

Be well-hydrated before and try not to drink caffeine the day of the session so that you can relax more fully.
Come with an openness of heart, so that we can share and work together for the best outcome of our time spent together.

As much as possible, take time to rest and relax. Try to plan your session on a day where you won’t have too much to do afterwards.
Continue to hydrate in order to replenish your body and energy.
Eat grounding and comforting healthy foods.
Spend time in nature.
Take time to journal or reflect on your experience.
