"Leap and the net will appear."

~John Burroughs

Happy November! Hope you are enjoying the crisp weather these days, as it finally feels like Fall.

A few weeks ago, I got a puppy! His name is Jackson. I have to say, I am obsessed with him! I feel very lucky that he is a mellow and well-behaved pup that I can bring with me almost everywhere. Some of you have met him at the studio where he sits in his carrier quietly while I teach classes.

At first, I wasn’t sure if I was ready to handle the responsibilities of getting a young puppy. I worried about him having destructive tendencies, or disrupting my own routines. As it turns out, he has fit seamlessly into my life, has not ruined any of my belongings, and has only brought me so much joy.

We have new routines together, of walks and meal times and play time. He gets so excited when I come home, and is fully entertained by simple things like chasing his toys or running around at the beach. In the little moments, he’s brought me laughter in silly things he does as a puppy exploring the world.

Even though I wasn’t sure if I was ready, or how it would work to be responsible for a little life, I’m so glad I made the decision to adopt him. Be open to the experience of taking risks, as the space of the heart is ever expansive in its capacity for care. Somehow it never gets too crowded in there to love a little more.

Jackson says, "Hi yogis!"

As we’ve sped through the year and arrived to November and the holiday season, we have plenty of classes and events for you to stay grounded in community. Check out these classes and events coming up this month!
