Dec. 2022

"Reflection: Looking back so that the view looking forward is even clearer."

It’s the last month of 2022! The end of the year always gets me in a reflective mood. As the weather cools and often encourages us to stay in a bit more, the energy of fall and winter can feel more inward as well.

In some ways, I feel like I’m still coming out of the weird cocoon of all that changed with a global pandemic. A lot of things feel more “normal,” yet somehow still quite different than before. In my family, we grieved death this year and also welcomed new life (my niece was born the day after thanksgiving!) Witnessing the cycle of life, and all the moments in between, I’ve experienced the spectrum of emotions and many changes. I finally took a few trips this year, and I’m so grateful I was able to. Traveling and trying to have more fun helped me feel more like myself.

So much happens within a year. We move so quickly through life these days. Yet if you pause to reflect, you'll likely realize many shifts you've gone through in the past year as well.

As calendars fill up with holidays and get togethers, I hope you find time to ground yourself with self-care and reflection. As we tie up loose ends of the year, keep in mind that progress is continual and doesn’t have to be rushed. We have the chance to reinvent, no matter the season. In a breath, in any moment, we can choose to create change. The practices of yoga and meditation can help us stay present through all transitions.

We have awesome workshops and classes to close out the year with reflection and presence. Hope to see you at the studio soon!
