Feb. 2025

“We all have battles to fight. And it's often in those battles that we are most alive: it's on the frontlines of our lives that we earn wisdom, create joy, forge friendships, discover happiness, find love, and do purposeful work.” — Eric Greitens

Welcome to February! Last week was Lunar New Year, celebrated in many cultures by the first new moon of the year. I happily took this as another fresh start, as January felt a bit rough for me personally.

Between the wildfires, the takedown of policies meant for inclusion and safety, and my Uncle passing away— last month was filled with uneasiness of all sorts. Although I am totally fine, safe, and healthy, I’ve felt anxiety with a sense of things crumbling around me which are out of my control. I don’t mean to project my feelings on anyone else, and genuinely hope that others have had a smoother start to the year.

I don’t have the perfect solution to times of discomfort. It’s a fact of life that things will get uncomfortable. I simply encourage us all to continue to be present, and to help each other in the ways that we can. Seeing community come together with kindness and compassion has been a ray of light through everything. I hope you’ve found a calm and safe space at Yoga Bliss in times that you’ve needed it.

This month, I’m excited for you to meet new wonderful teachers: Christina, Natasha and Olivia. We have great community events for grounding and relaxation, and awesome classes every day. Take care and hope to see you soon at the studio!

With Love + Gratitude,

<3 Lara
