May 2025

“Be not afraid of growing slowly; be afraid only of standing still.”

Happy May! I wrote this email a week ago and scheduled it to send while I’m hosting my yoga retreat in Bali. Hopefully I’m drinking fresh coconut juice or exploring a waterfall while you read this.

I visited Bali many years ago in 2013. I was there for three weeks, completing the last portion of my 300-hour yoga teacher training. During this training was the first time I said aloud to a group of people that I had a big dream to one day open a yoga studio. It still took a couple more years before it happened, when I opened Yoga Bliss in 2015. It’s come full circle, to be able to return to Bali to host a yoga retreat today.

I mention this because Bali is a special place for me, and also a reminder that ideas evolve and things take time to materialize. When I did my did my first yoga training in 2009, I had zero intentions of ever teaching a public yoga class. I simply wanted to learn. But this changed with time, and sharing yoga soon became an important part of my life. It eventually led me to creating Yoga Bliss, which has been my passion project and business over the last ten years.

Be patient with goals and dreams, as they come with their own evolution. If you’re working on something, keep going! If you’re searching for inspiration, I hope you can be present while following what stirs your curiosity. Enjoy the journey of discovering what brings you more bliss.

We have wonderful community events this month, great classes every day, and teacher training coming up this fall. As always, you’re invited to explore and discover through all our offerings. Hope to see you soon at the studio!

Sober Yoga Girl Podcast: From YTT to Studio Owner in LA

I’d love for you to listen to this podcast I was recently featured on, where I had the opportunity to share more about my journey with yoga and opening the studio.

I met the host, Alexandra McRobert, a couple of years ago when she attended my class after missing a flight at LAX. She is a wonderful yoga teacher that lives in Bali, hosting trainings and retreats worldwide. Our connection has been serendipitous— she’s the one who shared info on the beautiful resort for my current retreat!
